Tackling loneliness and social isolation experienced by people with Multiple Complex Needs through listening, mentoring and community!
We are delighted that our new PEER 4 U Peer Mentors have now started with us and are busy co-producing our brand new project. Sophie, Trish, Ben and Johnny along with their Manager, Nicola Plumb; will be launching the new project in April 2019.
PEER 4 U, is funded by the Building Connections Fund, government funding distributed by the National Lottery Community Fund and is a ground breaking initiative to tackle head on the loneliness and social isolation experienced by people in Blackpool by people with a history of homelessness, mental illness, offending and substance misuse. All of the PEER 4 U team have lived experience of these issues and will be drawing on that experience to provide peer mentoring support to other people who are looking to connect with new friends, exciting opportunities and volunteering roles.
We will keep you updated on future developments as this is going to be a very exciting project for the future!
